For homeowners with wide windows, large sliding glass doors, or open-plan living spaces, Panel Blinds offer a stunning and practical alternative to traditional curtains. Featuring wide fabric panels that glide effortlessly along a multi-channel track, these blinds provide a neat, flat aesthetic that feels like a moving wall of fabric.
At 800Curtains, we design bespoke Panel Blinds that are ideal for the expansive “floor-to-ceiling” lifestyle common in Dubai’s luxury villas and modern penthouses.
Why Panel Blinds are Perfect for Your Home
-
The Best for Large Openings: Specifically engineered for oversized windows and balcony doors where other blinds might look too busy or feel too heavy.
-
Modern Minimalism: Unlike curtains that bunch up, panel blinds stay flat and crisp, maintaining a clean, architectural look even when closed.
-
Versatile Room Dividers: Beyond windows, panel blinds are an excellent, lightweight way to partition a large room or hide an open wardrobe.
-
Effortless Glide: Our high-quality track systems allow the panels to stack neatly behind one another, providing maximum exposure to your view when open.
-
Mix & Match Style: You can choose different colors or patterns for each panel to create a unique, “feature wall” effect on your window.
Our Panel Blind Fabric Collections
Choose the level of light and privacy that suits your lifestyle:
-
Sunscreen Panels: Ideal for living rooms. They block the Dubai heat and glare while allowing you to enjoy your view of the city or garden.
-
Blackout Panels: Perfect for bedrooms or media rooms where you want to block 100% of the light for a better sleep or movie experience.
-
Natural Textures: We offer linens and woven wood effects that add a warm, organic feel to contemporary interiors.
-
Translucent Fabrics: Filter the sunlight into a soft glow, providing daytime privacy without making the room dark.
Professional Installation & Customization
-
Free Home Consultation: We bring our wide-format fabric samples to your home so you can visualize the scale of the panels against your windows.
-
Custom Track Configurations: Choose from 2, 3, 4, or 5-channel tracks depending on how many panels you need and which way you want them to slide (left, right, or split from the center).
-
Precision Engineering: We ensure the panels are weighted perfectly at the bottom so they hang straight and don’t sway in the AC breeze.
Design Tip: If you have a very large patio door, use Panel Blinds in a neutral, light-colored fabric. This reflects the heat of the afternoon sun and makes the interior feel significantly larger and more cohesive.
Frequently Asked Questions
How wide are the individual panels? Typically, panels range from 45cm to 120cm in width. We customize the width based on the total size of your window to ensure they stack perfectly.
Are panel blinds easy to operate? Very! They can be operated via a simple wand (cordless for child safety) or can be motorized for the ultimate smart-home convenience.
Can I wash the panels? Most panels are made from durable, wipe-clean fabrics. If a panel gets damaged or you want to change your decor, individual panels can be easily removed and replaced.
